The eldest Prince of the Esmaria royal family, and heir to the throne, dies a sudden death. As the family mourns, Thea, the princess of Esmaria, suspects that something is not all right with his ‘natural’ death. Visiting her father, she realises that the stories that she has been told don’t align with each other. From being told one thing to another, she decides to investigate and take matters into her own hand to find the truth. As she begins her investigation, she is pulled down paths she never thought she’d expect.

Within Episode one, the royal family come to terms with the anniversary of the eldest son's death. While thinking about how he died, Thea finds something strange. She confronts her father, who tells her a story that seems unlikely. She, thinking on it more and knowing her brother couldn't be that careless, decides to seek out the next person who may be able to shed some light on the situation; the new heir and her older brother, Cyrus.
