Cora, an elderly lady, plays music on a record player that brings the room around her to revert back to her golden days. A younger mysterious man joins her in a calm dance, swaying to the music. They continue to dance through the decades, the room changing with them as they grow older. They dorn wedding attire, continuing their dance in the middle of a church at the height of a ceremony. Newly married they dance back into the living room, and the time changes again as they grow. Children run through the scene, changing again to them all grown up and leaving. The dance continues; Cora's face changing as the song and the dance becomes more violent, unpredictable and erratic. Bruises show on Cora. They continue into the kitchen, where cora poisons the food which Allens tastes. As they continue dancing, the man looks ill and eventually loses his breath. The dance comes to its slow final. Allen struggles and dies. The song ends and a new one takes over. Cora dances on her own, leaving him behind. The scene changes once again, now to a prison, where the music plays. Cora, now with a smile on her face, dances around.
